3.BRUSH YOUR TRESSES BEFORE BEDTIME
Never brush your hair when it is soaking wet,Why? Our strands are never more fragile and prone to breakage than when they’re wet. When your hair is clean, your strands don’t have natural oils coating them to protect themselves. That basically means it’s much more vulnerable to tangles, split ends, and breakage, especially if you just shampooed it. .Allow your hair to dry slightly before brushing, use a wide-tooth comb and start from the ends up using short strokes. This will prevent you from snagging through any tangles and pulling your hair.
5.WEARING TIGHT HAIRSTYLES
If you're not putting a heat-protectant spray on your hair before you use your heat styling tool, it's like asking for damage. On clean, damp hair, spray on a heat protectant to shield your hair from hot-tool harm. Most people may use a heat protection spray before straightening their hair but not before blow drying.Think about it- you are literally applying heat to the hair reaching temperatures up to 450 degrees F. Would you want to touch something that hot without protection on your hands? No? So don't do that to your hair. You might think, "If heat damages my hair, I'll keep my flat iron on the lowest heat setting possible!" Counterintuitive as it may seem, a medium to high temperature—lower if your hair is fine, higher if your hair is thick—is better. Why? On a low heat setting, you'll have to go over your hair multiple times to smooth it out. A higher temperature means a better chance that a single pass can do the trick.
7.CRASH DIETS - NO NO
Starving yourself forces the body to direct its energy (the little it has) towards essential functions like helping your heart and brain work rather than making hair. Eat a healthy diet with plenty of lean protein like fish, chicken, lentils and beans. "Hair is primarily made of protein”. It’s the one thing that can make or break your hair if you’re not getting enough.

2. HEALTHY HAIR STARTS WITH HEALTHY SCALP
One of the easiest ways to encourage hair growth is by maintaining a healthy scalp. It all starts from within, from our diet and lifestyle habits, and from the condition of our scalp. Too many people face a constant battle against the hair and scalp condition known as dandruff. Daily hair washing simply doesn't rid them of a dry, itchy, or flaky scalp. Some causes given for dandruff include poor blood circulation.Massaging your scalp without using fingernails doesn’t only keep you relaxed; but also it helps the blood circulate better in that area. Clogged roots can stop your hair from growing healthily. For clearing Dandruff check out this simple yet effective mask here.
3.BRUSH YOUR TRESSES BEFORE BEDTIME
Brushing your hair before going to bed will keep you relaxed, but there’s so much more to brushing Your scalp produces natural oils that are good for your hair. By brushing your hair you are distributing those oils into your hair to keep it moisturized, shiny and healthier.A nice massaging brushing session (3-5 minutes of GENTLE brushing) stimulates blood flow in your scalp which means a healthy scalp and healthy hair growth.Over brushing and harsh brushing can definitely lead to loss and breakage, and definitely be careful brushing wet hair ever!Read below why.
4.WHY NOT BRUSH HAIR WHEN ITS WET
Never brush your hair when it is soaking wet,Why? Our strands are never more fragile and prone to breakage than when they’re wet. When your hair is clean, your strands don’t have natural oils coating them to protect themselves. That basically means it’s much more vulnerable to tangles, split ends, and breakage, especially if you just shampooed it. .Allow your hair to dry slightly before brushing, use a wide-tooth comb and start from the ends up using short strokes. This will prevent you from snagging through any tangles and pulling your hair.
5.WEARING TIGHT HAIRSTYLES
If a tight ponytail or braid is your go-to, beware: Sporting these styles puts excessive tension on the hair follicles, damaging them and creating scars that destroy them permanently. Try wearing your hair down whenever possible (especially while sleeping; rolling around on a pillow can create even more friction). When you do tie your strands back, keep it soft—if it’s pulling on your skin, it’s way too tight.
6.LIMIT YOUR HOT TOOLS USAGE
Using heat styling tools, everyday on your hair will weaken your hair follicles and will lead to very tired hair. Your hair and scalp are as fragile as your face. Scorching temps damage the proteins that make up your hair and its protective cuticle. Once the cuticle is damaged, the moisture balance is disrupted and your hair is more prone to breakage .So be careful how you use straighteners and blow dryers on your hair, limit them to two or three times a week, start with the coolest setting possible.
7.DONT FORGET THE THERMAL PROTECTION
If you're not putting a heat-protectant spray on your hair before you use your heat styling tool, it's like asking for damage. On clean, damp hair, spray on a heat protectant to shield your hair from hot-tool harm. Most people may use a heat protection spray before straightening their hair but not before blow drying.Think about it- you are literally applying heat to the hair reaching temperatures up to 450 degrees F. On a low heat setting, you'll have to go over your hair multiple times to smooth it out. A higher temperature means a better chance that a single pass can do the trick.
8.DONT WASH YOUR HAIR EVERY OTHER DAY
Thie may sound gross, but take a day off from hair shampoo. Washing your hair every day leads to worn out and weak hair, as it becomes very easy to break. You're constantly stripping the natural oils away from it. And as a defense reaction from your body, your scalp produces more oil to moisturize the dry scalp, so you feel like you need to shower every day. A good benchmark for hair washing should be twice-thrice a week or when you feel your hair needs it.
