DIY GLAM GLOW Inspired Face Mask

GlamGlow is basically made of a clay that extracts dirt & oil blended with activated charcoal for even more cleansing power. Then they added a series of acids including glycolic acid and mandelic acid. I've made clay masks at home before but never thought about including an acid to exfoliate the top layers as the clay works deep within. Thanks to the inspiration from GlamGlow, adding an acid to clay masks will be my thing from now on. The mask below is an DIY version and resembles more like the GLAMGLOW SUPERMUD mask, but it’s not as drying.

The Body Shop Honey & Oat 3 in 1 Scrub Mask is obviously targeted towards people are short fo time and who’d like cleansing, exfoliation and moisturizing to be done all in one! . The mask comes in a 100ML a screw top plastic tub, with packaging typical to TBS style. With details of ingredients and application details on the back of the tub. You apply this to your face and neck like a normal mask, wait for 5 – 10 minutes till it dries and then massage your face and rinse it off. That’s where the exfoliation part kicks in.

SCENT & TEXTURE

This one smells like honey and cereal. The mask itself is a bit creamy with soft exfoliating bits, Particles are soft not very harsh.The exfoliant in this, I actually like. When washing it off, I try to rub in the little granules of oats into my skin because it’ll help buff away at the dry, dead skin cells.

DOES IT WORKS?

It works really well in providing the required moisturized feeling.
After washing it off, my skin has a peachy glow. This leaves me face feeling really smooth and hydrated, and looking quite radiant. It doesn’t exacerbate my oily skin or irritate the dryer parts of my face either, so as far as I’m concerned that’s a win all round; it also makes my moisturizer blend in like butter. This mask is perfect for those with dry to normal skin but that doesn’t mean combo/oily skin can’t benefit from it as well!.I being an oily skin keep the use twice a month,while normal skin can carry out from once a week to once a month.

Irritated skin can also be benefited ,as Oatmeal helps to calm down the redness and skin irritation,just keep a light hand for exfoliation step.
I would say its a very reasonably priced decent mask for normal /dry skin to skin clean,exfoliated and smooth all at the same time.*

WHAT IT CLAIMS

This mask claims to be 100% natural clay complex which cleanses and revitalizes skin; negatively charged ions act like magnets to draw out dirt and impurities from the pores.

PACKAGING

The mask comes in a 100ML plastic tub, with packaging typical to TBS style. The mask itself is a thick creamy texture, which dries white. This is helpful to know when the mask is ready to take off, however directions do state to apply in a thin layer around the face, being careful to avoid eyes and lips, and removing with warm water after 10 minutes of using. 

SCENT & TEXTURE

It smells sort of rough, I only think of salt water when I smell it, I guess that’s because of the seaweed. The texture of the mask is like clay, but it is pretty hard.

DOES IT WORKS?

As this mask claims to draw out impurities and cleanse and control excess oils and since using this mask I can definitely see a difference in the amount of shininess on my face. As well as reducing the excess oils on my face, this mask has also helped reduce the inflammations and the intensity of breakouts. I can honestly say that most visible pores look cleaned out and much less visible. In fact, my whole entire face looks like it’s been refreshed. Yes ,it does works great...

I think it’s a good mask and it cleanses pretty good – it is a deep cleansing mask.However keep in mind that if your are sensitive skin this mask can sting on the parts of your face where you have problems like break out ,in such case a good moisturizer is a must afterwards

FLAWLESS SKIN by CHOCOLATE MASK

   We all crave for beautiful flawless skin.But due to poor nutrition,lack of sufficient hydration we get acne ,dark circles and many other skin issues. Skin dullness is one of those reasons that many people suffer with especially the dry skin people.

For Anyone suffering from skin dullness and stretchy feel on the skin try the mask below to create the glow from within in your face, i.e the CHOCOLATE MASK.

So,Let's begin

You Will Need

- Dark Chocolate - 2 tablespoons (melted)

- Coffee Powder - 1 teaspoons

- Curd - 2 teaspoons

- Honey - 1 Teaspoon


Method:   Take a bowl add the melted dark chocolate and then whip in the coffee ,curd and honey.Mix it well for a stringy consistency. Before applying make sure your face and hands are washed. Now, apply this mask on your face and neck and massage it well for 2-3 minutes. After that leave the mask for 20 minutes. After that wash it off with warm water. Just after the first wash you will feel you skin soft ,supple and more moisturized. You can also this mask over your hands.This mask also helps in marks. Use it once a week.

This mask is recommended for dry,mature or dehydrated dull skins.Sensitive skins should do a patch test first.
Try it out for a more flawless soft skin.

PRODUCT REVIEW: BENEFIT SUGARGLAM FAIRIES HOLIDAY SET 2014

   

   During the Holiday season all companies come up with alluring sets. And when it comes to holiday sets; Benefit is one of them which really offer some of the very awesome deals. Today, I will be doing a short review on the BENEFIT SUGARGLAM FAIRIES Holiday Set.

SugarGlam Fairies is one of the sets launched by Benefit for Holiday Season 2014. It contains a combination of four products. It costs is $45 while its actual worth is around $95 if all products bought separately. Let’s have a view of it.

   The package comes in a House shape tin container, which has a cute colorful design printed over it depicting a cake shop.Its looks more like a cute candy box . This tin is a keepsake for later on to store your makeup stash or any other stuff after you take out the inside products. 

The inside of the set has a red plastic packing which encloses all the products inside it.

The package consists of three full size products and one deluxe size sampler.

It includes:

-  One Full size Benefit Porefessional Face Primer 22.0 ml

- One Full size They‘re real Mascara

- One full size Hoola Bronzer

- One deluxe size Benetint

  This set was a really a good buy for me saving me a whole lot of buck.as the Porefessional ,and the Mascara are one of my most essentials in my makeup stash and I run out of them pretty fast. And Hoola is one of my contouring must haves. And the Benetint is a lovely tint comes in a tiny cute size and its really travel/purse friendly. I’ already own all the products this was my stock up, I’ll review all the products separately.

   Overall this set is a great buy if you use these products regularly or were just looking out to try some of the benefit products then this set is a must buy.

Only one suggestion I have is about the packaging, the tin packing is no doubt really cute but I’m not a fan of keeping such boxes for storage s, so I may be ultimately discarding it. Rather than spending on the tin packing, they could have considered adding a simple cardboard box with an addition of another deluxe sampler which would have made this set even a much more attractive buy.
