Beauty Blender Vs.Flat Top Kabuki...which one is better for foundation application?

Half battle if won if you succeed to select the right foundation for you, but the battle for a flawless skin look yet to be completed which completes with the correct foundation tool. Apart from the selection of the right foundation, the selection of the right tool to apply the foundation is extremely crucial, a right foundation applied the wrong way will patchy or thick as a cake.
The coverage achieved by the foundation can go from light to medium to full, and the selection of the right tool for foundation application depends on the level of coverage desired.
Two of the most popular tools used for foundation applications are the beauty blender and the Flat Top Kabuki brush.Let's have a brief intro about the two.

The Beautyblender, is an odd little egg-shaped sponge designed to help you better apply foundation. The innovative, latex-free Beautyblender sponge was developed by Hollywood makeup artist Rea. The beauty blender is used damp to apply the foundation. It adds a bit of hydration to the skin in addition to applying foundation. They are used in the stippling /patting motion and the pointed tip lets easily reach the areas around the nose and eyes. Gives a luminous sheer coverage which is build able to medium coverage. It can be used to apply creams and liquid products more than the powder, though you can also use for powders products make sure the blender is dry for a light layer, while I will still prefer brush for applying powders.Beauty Blenders are perfect to be used for daily use and for day/light wear of foundation and BB creams, when evening out the skin is preferred over achieving complete coverage. You can get the original beauty blender, while you can also find many similar blenders offered by various companies, Real Techniques Miracle Complexion Sponge being the closest dupe of beauty blender.

The Flat Top Kabuki Brush-When it comes to achieving more coverage from your foundation the Synthetic Flat Top Powder Brush is your best friend. The brush is a dense bristles with flat surface which perfectly applies foundation - whether it be cream, liquid or powder, it can handle all three mediums very easily. A flat top brush is used dry and it is your key to an airbrushed full coverage foundation application. The edges of the brush can be used to get precise and defined cheek contour color.Flat top of the brush allows for a very speedy application of the product, use the circular motion for a airbrush finish and a patting motion to achieve a more fuller coverage where required.
You can find flat -top kabuki's from an array of companies while sigma F80 is the most famous among ,enough to represent the brush, whenever flat top kabuki is referred in most cases, Sigma f80 is used to example it.

Summing it up, if I had to choose I will keep the blender handy for daily use and when I just need a slight layer of my foundation/BB cream, and don't want to much coverage. While I will always pick up my flat top kabuki brush for times when I'm looking for more coverage airbrush finish.
