Under the umbrella of the concept “The Beauty of Giving,” the Body Shop previewed a collection of its new Ramadan themed packaged gift products at Riyadh recently.
The launch event (posted here),also included a make-up demonstration, with a representative from the brand.
The marketing team of ‘The Body Shop,’ explained that the company wished to do something special to cater to the special month of Ramadan, and stated: “What better way to do this than to encourage the ‘beauty of giving?’”
Ramadan is a time when many people exchange gifts, so we wanted the brand to adapt to and reflect the regions’ cultural heritage. As a result, the packaging features Arabic calligraphic designs.”
The “Beauty of giving” concept includes many different facets, one of which is the community fair trade practice that the brand has adopted.
According to this, if a specific ingredient in their products can be produced by persons from an underprivileged background, in exchange for its production the brand would build a school, hospital, or help the persons set up their own businesses.
And during this Ramadan , with every sale of the Ramadan gift sets,The body Shop will contribute to the institution, "War Child".This organization helps children in the war torn countries.
Many of the products previewed were created through the community fair trade practice, with ‘The Body Shop’ dealing with different regions such as Ghana and Namibia.
“It’s great to see an international brand adopt a specific theme for Ramadan. The products seem interesting, and I am looking forward to gifting them to my friends and family.”
The gift packages include products with fragrances such as the Red Musk ‘Japanese cherry blossom,’ ‘midnight bakula,’ and ‘Indian night jasmine.’
