Marsala has been named the Color of the Year by Pantone, so Sephora has created an entire line of makeup based on the brownish-red shade. The palette comes in a pretty rose gold packaging.

The outer part of the box lists all shadesthat the palette is housed in.Instead of listing each shade by name, their corresponding Pantone swatches are used. What a fun way to show the colors! Plus, if you end up loving a shade, you know exactly what Pantone number it is.

The packaging of this palette is just gorgeous, and it’s functional too. It is nice and slim, and just plain pretty to look at, even though the mirrored part does get covered with fingerprints easily.

The palette has a full-sized mirror on the lid. It’s a really good size and is definitely use-able if you are using this palette on the go.

I love the amount of shadow colors in this palette (24) and they are all so pretty. The wells for the shadows are a little deeper,they help stop the shadows from contaminating each other,

I like that Sephora created this palette around the Marsala shade and then included it in four different finishes. Having matte, satin, metallic, and glitter versions of Marsala make this palette very versatile. It’s easy to come up with different looks using the different finishes. It may seem a bit repetitive, but the finishes are so different from each other.
