ANASTASIA BEVERLY HILLS SHADOW COUTURE REVIEW AND SWATCHES

As-Salam-O-Alykum...Glam'Yees...
So, If you’ve been following my blog lately you would know that I recently purchased the Anastasia Beverly Hills Shadow Couture World Traveler palette. I have already done a few EOTDs using this palette which you can view here & here.
I own quite a few Anastasia palettes, and each one has been extremely well loved. They are nicely priced, a breeze to blend, and are loaded with amazing shades. They don’t last long before they’re gone though, so I wanted to get this review up as soon as possible.

The palette itself retails for 30$ and is available at Ulta and Sephora, Nordstrom, and online at anastasiabeverlyhills.com.. As with most of Anastasia Beverly Hills' palettes, this comes with twelve shades, and is a release for Fall 2015.

It comes with a variety of textures and finishes. Included in the little palette is a dual end brush (not pictured) It features a mixture of matte, satin, and metallic finishes that“deliver smooth, intense color for an endless array of customized eye looks.” You can use them wet or dry, to create looks ranging from soft and neutral to smokey and intense.

PACKAGING

Talking about the packaging the shadow couture follows the same signature palette style as the rest of the Anastasia Palettes. The outer box and the palette it self are a black and gold color themed , with grid pattern running through the center.Simple and Chic. The palette it self is a textured paper
board casing which makes it light and easy to carry. with self closure. Inside of the palette is enclosed all the 12 eye shades with their names running at the bottom. The palette also has a mirror inside making it travel friendly.Included in the little palette is a dual end brush.

SWATCHES

Let’s get to those swatches! (Parden the Noir shade spread out had to clean it up)

Row One L-R
Soft peach (light peach with a hint of pink, ultra-matte finish)
Morocco (deep burnt orange, ultra-matte finish)
Heirloom (eggplant with pink glitter, sparkle finish)
Bellini (peachy gold, satin finish)
Pink Champagne (pink with glitter, sparkle finish)
Chic (light taupe grey, shimmer finish)
Row Two L-R
Spoiled (peach with gold glitter)
Fudge (warm chocolate brown, ultra-matte finish)
Azure (bright blue, metallic finish)
Intense Gaze (bronze pink, satin finish)
Metallic (bright yellow gold, metallic finish)
Noir (black, ultra-matte finish)

TEXTURES

The mattes are smooth and easy to blend out.
Pink Champagne needs a good base to get it to stick to the eye.
Heirloom is intense
Spoiled has glitter in it so, the glitter blends away.
Chic needs to be layered
The metallic and satin finish eyeshadow become saturated when used wet.
My favorite shades so far are Morocco, Pink Champagne, Fudge, and Metallic but all of them are really pretty and super easy to blend!

DURABILITY
All of the eyeshadows had a wear time of at least 8-9 hours. I did use primers and bases so, I’m sure that had a factor in it.

MY THOUGHTS
I love this palette. I Once again, I’m super impressed with Anastasia eyeshadows! The shade selection, mixed with their smooth, easy to blend textures, makes this $30 palette a total steal. You might have noticed that previous palettes retailed for $1 cheaper (the Amrezy and Tamanna), but the quality of the double ended brush and the mirror inside have improved – so I say that extra buck is well worth it If you haven’t tried ABH eyeshadow and don’t want to buy the singles yet, try these. You get a good variety of eyeshadows colors and can create some amazing looks with it.

If you’re in the market for a new set of shadows that won’t break the bank, but still look stunning on the lids, then I highly suggest the Shadow Couture palette!

Have you tried the shadow couture palette or any of the Anastasia Palettes?Would love to hear your experience
Until next time
