YOUR NAIL -SHAPE PERSONALITY
My eyes usually stop on one of the following three, in the specific order: the nails, the bag and the shoes. The latter two, it’s more of a fashion-related thing specific to most of us, but nails facinate me beyond limits – not only the color but most of all the shape and sometimes, the length- only when the best word to define it is “outrageous” -of the nails can sometimes haunt me for hours.
To give my nail-freak behavior a useful purpose, I decided to check out the significance of the most common nail shapes and the personality of those who adopt them. Taking things to new heights, I selected ten of this season’s most beloved nail colors, matching each shape to its best-suited hue. I posted my list down below, so next time you ask for squoval nails you’ll be aware of what it says about you.
Let me know your opinion, does the shape of your nails matches your personality?

Square Nails
The square shape is ideal for a people with a bigger nail bed (it tends to make smaller nail beds look shorter and wider). For long narrow fingers, square nail shape is your ideal choice.
Square nails are attention-grabbing, but not too wild. If you prefer simple designs, like a solid color or French mani, this is the ideal shape for you.
Pros: These nails are very sturdy and hard to break. Square nails make a subtle statement and work well with many designs. This is the perfect shape for French tip manicures.
Cons: These do require a bit of maintenance, since nails tend to naturally grow in a curved way. They can make your fingers appear shorter.

To create this timeless shape, file the side walls straight and make sure they’re perpendicular to the free edge of the nail. Once you’ve gotten the square shape you desire, angle your emery board and bevel the nail slightly.By the way, if you are short nails and favor this nail shape, you have to let them grow out before you can have a true square shape

Achieving the perfect oval nail shape is very easy. First file side walls straight to make sure they’re even. Then, shape the side walls into a rounded oval shape, making sure the angles are even.
Squoval Nails
This shape (BTW: Squoval is nail code for a rounded square shape!) .Combining the elegance of the oval shape with the strength of the square one, the squoval has become a popular nail shape for most fingers. It is far more flattering and common on most types hands especially if you are unsure what style does fit you best. It is both attractive and classy so it is good for people of all types of professions.
Pros: They're super-practical and neutral, plus they flatter every finger shape.
Cons: This nail shape is so versatile - there really are no cons!

First begin with a square with straight and even side walls. File the corners until your free edge is rounded and beveled. Once your nails are round, file down the top going in one direction. (Filing back and forth is not healthy for your nails.)Finally, file the corners in a curved motion to once again round out and soften the shape until you are satisfied.Remember, you still want strong side supports so don’t go overboard on the filing.
Short, Rounded Nails
This nail shape is extremely low maintenance, but still looks chic and polished. Short, rounded nails are perfect if you play sports or work a lot with your hands.
The round shape is by far the most conservative nail shape of the bunch, it is also ideal for men and women alike who like to maintain short nails. This shape flatters wide nails, and gives the illusion of a thinner nail bed.attractive nail polish.

With a pair of nail clippers, clip down your nails until they are at or below your fingertip. If necessary or desired, File the side walls straight like a square, then round the free edge into that perfect swooping circle.Simple and easy.
Stiletto /Almond Nails
Stiletto nails are perfect for fierce fashionistas who love crazy trends! These nails are not for the faint of heart (or anyone who works with children... or near eyeballs). Also, if you wear contact lenses these might be pretty dangerous.Pointed nails will make your small fingers look longer, it is sure that it is the best choice for you to lengthen your nails. But I do think this style is not suitable for any occasion, do remember that!
Pros: This nail shape certainly make a statement. In fact, they automatically act as an accessory and as a cool accent for any outfit. This look is also often spotted on celebs like Rihanna or Kylie Jenner, so this nail shape is a must-try for trendsetters.
Cons: These will most likely make daily activities very difficult. It will probably take some time to get used to them. Also, stiletto nails are very high maintenance and prone to breakage.

Since they are so long, these nails will likely require acrylic or gel nail extensions. Start by filing nails nails into very sharp triangle angles. File your nail into a triangular shape or point like shape on the end of the nail tip to produce this very popular nail style. The stiletto style can make your nails brittle and a bit weaker, and just as the oval shape can, your nails will tend to break more easy since the sides are not a strong as the square or squoval style. Wearing nails like this if they are going to be an every day way of life, you will want to reinforce the sides so they do not break as easy as they would without the reinforcement.

Nail polish has undoubtedly become a major accessory, and could be a reasonable act to keep you stylish and trendy. The shade on our fingers and toes is almost as important as the outfit, and it can easily pull together any look, or give your ensemble an extra pop. I’m a fairly simple girl when it comes to nail polish, but here are my favorite colors and tips on incorporating a fresh manicure into your outfit. There are literally thousands of hues, and not to mention designs/styles of painting, which make it so hard to pick just one.
10 Manicure Ideas using a SHARPIE
I am loving all Sharpie manicures these. I am starting to see them pop up all over pinterest and I can’t get enough. The very best part is that if you mess up you can take it off with rubbing alcohol (before a top coat) so you don’t have to use nail polish remover and completely take off your polish. I have seen a variety of awesome ones using Metallic Sharpies
