MAC Studio Fix Fluid spf 15 Review

Today, I will share my experience with my HG foundation the MAC Studio Fix liquid foundation. As mentioned before I have an oily skin and very acne prone so finding a foundation which has full coverage with great oil control is always a struggle but as for this one. Lets see why i love it so much.


WHAT IT CLAIMS

MAC Studio Fix Fluid Foundation combines a natural matte finish and medium-buildable coverage with broad spectrum UVA/UVB SPF 15. Comfortable and long-wearing: lasts for up to eight hours. Applies smoothly, builds coverage quickly and easily. Contains specially treated micronized pigments and soft-focus powders for a super-smooth look that helps minimize the appearance of imperfections. Absorbs and disperses oil and is Oil free.

PACKAGING

This MAC foundation retails in a heavy glass bottle with a rubberized black screw type cap. The cap shuts tight and avoids any product leakage,through the rubberized texture of the cap leave finger marks.There is no pump or any dispenser provided with the foundation. You would have to buy the pump separately. It does get a bit tricky to take out the product without a pump dispenser,so i have bought the pump for a hassle free and controlled dispense of product. The shade number is stated on the bottom of the bottle.

SHADE RANGE

I fluctuate between NC 15 -20,but most of the time I match to shade of NC 20,its a neutral beige shade with slight yellow undertone to it,the shade is my exact skin match so I do mix in NC 15 sometimes to brighten it up a bit. Now this is where mac stands out ,they have an extensice range of shade selection,no matter how pale or dark you are you will find your shade match, even the most difficult skin tones could easily combine two shades and get their perfect shade. When deciding what shade of foundation with MAC, you must determine whether you are cool toned or warm toned. SCENT AND TEXTURE

The texture of this foundation is a thick liquid though its runny and easily blendable. Not a fan of its smell it smells a mix of fragrance and like or more like barbie plastic if that makes sense.
This Mac Foundation gives a medium to full coverage, that’s really buildable. The finish is satin to matte depending if you set it with powder and skin type in my opinion.  Mac also claim that the Studio Fix Fluid “contains specially treated micronized pigments and soft-focus powders for a super-smooth look that helps minimise the appearance of imperfections.

LASTING POWER
This it the next best thing of this beauty in a bottle ,its amazing lasting power .It lasts easily over me 7-8 hours before i need to blot, i never had any oxidation issues. Plus it has an spf 15 so can be worn during day time yet it never has a flash back in photography.

HOW TO USE
Its best to use a flat top kabuki or a stippling brush for full to medium coverage and a beauty blender for a very light to medium coverage with a dewy finish.It is extremely pigmented and all you need is a small amount to cover your face and neck. I recommend you to start with a small peas size of the product and work your way up to the coverage you want rather than ending up applying to much of it and looking cakey. Mac Studio Fix Fluid SPF 15 is a oil- free foundation best suited for oily skin, where it can be easily used by all skin types. Dry skin beauties should moisturize well before using.The coverage and finish is unbeatable,the foundation covers up all blemishes, dark spots and even minor scars.Although it definitely looks like I have foundation on but it doesn't appear thick or heavy and does not break down into a patchy mess. .
I think this is a great product for any beauty buff because it is one of those save-the-day foundations when your skin is acting up but you need it to appear flawless for a special occasion. It also photographs beautifully so its a great one to keep for a rainy day.
